I write this post with a heavy heart. A few days ago my husband and I received news that would change our world forever. A family member is suddenly ill and unfortunately there is nothing we can do to make them well again. Coming from someone that thrives off of control, the fact that I am helpless in this situation angers me. As a wife, the most unsettling feeling in the world is seeing your husband in pain. While we continue to pray for the health and safety of our family daily, we are longing for better news in the days to come.
In spite of our sorrow, this situation has been eye opening for both my husband and myself. We were both reminded that life is a privilege, not a right therefore we must take advantage of every single moment that we spend on this earth. Life is too short for petty arguments or disagreements. Life is for living, loving and never settling for anything less than extraordinary. Never miss an opportunity to tell someone that you love them because you truly never know if or when you may have that opportunity again.
It is my personal goal to live each day to my full potential, I will strive to always do the right thing and make the most of each moment I have with my loved ones. I will no longer dedicate my time to things or people that do not reciprocate the same dedication or positive returns. I will deepen my connection with my faith and I will maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to prolong my future. I will thrive in adverse situations and never let any obstacle alter my happiness.
I will never take one breath for granted.
Friends, take the time to let your loved ones know how much they mean to you. If someone has made an impact in your life, let them know. If you have been wanting to try something new but didn’t have the courage, what are you waiting for? Are you looking to start eating healthy, but not until you’ve gotten rid of all of the bad food in the house, why wait? Life is short.
Procrastination only ends when you decide to put your foot down. Don’t waste what little time you have here just treading water in your comfort zone. Go out, try something new, make a name for yourself, enjoy life to it’s fullest potential. Stop allowing yourself to settle for anything less than what you think you deserve. Life isn’t always easy, but as long as we never give up, we are all destined for great things.
